Digital Showcase Policy

Submission Guidelines

In order to submit your work for publication in Digital Showcase, follow these steps:   

  1. Go to Digital Showcase and click on My Account to create an account or log in
  2. Click on the collection which most closely matches your paper
  3. In the left-hand menu, select "Submit Research"
  4. Fill in the form with information about your submission (title, etc.)
    • Make sure to include a summary/abstract, and keywords!
  5. Upload your approved paper to the showcase (for text papers, PDF format is preferred)
    • Ensure that your file includes a faculty approval signature from your advisor or an instructor who is familiar with the work (*Pro Tip: this can be easily added as an image to the title page)
  6. Click Submit

After you submit, the Electronic Resources Librarian will review and publish, or contact you for more info. 

Westover Theses will automatically be uploaded to the Digital Showcase after approval. You do not have to take any further action unless want to opt out of publishing your thesis.

For the Graduate Theses and Dissertations Collection: 

For a specific journal: 

  • Select the desired journal
  • Click the "Submit Article" button in the left column
  • The site will prompt you through the next steps
  • When finished, click submit!

Alumni are invited to submit papers, research, or projects from their time as a student at the University of Lynchburg.  The process to submit is the same as your respective student type.  Please just make sure to leave us a comment in the submission form with your graduation class year! 

Current and former employees are invited to submit research papers and projects from their time at the University of Lynchburg. If you wish post a reprint from a journal, please make sure that you have permission for IR publication in the author agreement.  If you're not sure, try looking up the journal in Sherpa Romeo! 

  1. Create an account in Digital Showcase and upload your work online.
  2. The online submission form will prompt you to check a box assenting to the Author Submission Agreement
  3. Click Submit

Each journal housed in the Digital Showcase platform has its own unique submission process and editorial board. The site itself will walk authors through the steps needed to submit a paper. 

For a specific journal: 

  • Select the desired journal
  • Click the "Submit Article" button in the left column
  • The site will prompt you through the next steps
  • When finished, click submit!
