Managing the collections of information resources, in all formats, includes: Providing library resources for the interest, information, and enlightenment of students, faculty, and staff.

·         Providing materials and information presenting all points of view on current and

historical issues.  Materials will not be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval.

information needs of students and faculty

·         Acquiring new items

·         Removing, repairing, or replacing damaged or outdated items.

This policy is a directive for establishing procedures for the library staff, and for communicating information to library users regarding the collections.

It is also a statement to the faculty, students, and staff, and administration of the University of Lynchburg, as well as any other interested parties, declaring the guiding principles and policies by which the Knight-Capron Library staff will manage the information resources of the library, in line with the University’s Vision 2020.
