Finding & Citing Peer-Reviewed articles in Psychology

STRATEGIES FOR FINDING PEER-REVIEWED ARTICLES IN PSYCHOLOGY:

  • Use PsycARTICLES for the peer-reviewed journals in Psychology
     
  • Use the APA Thesauras to discover the precise meanings of words and phrases in Psychology
     
  • To search for the relationship between two search terms put one search term in each search box and use AND
     
  • To search for synonomous or related terms put all the search terms in the same search box separated by the word OR
     
  • The limiters in the left column will assist you to make a more precise search (The Index Terms can be really helpful)
     
  • Every citation will link to a PDF of the article.
     
    • You may need to use Interlibrary Loan to get a copy of the article
